Meet the Partners

Maame Birago Yeboah

Barrister & Solicitor

Maame is a founding Partner of Ark Legal. Her areas of expertise include Corporate and Commercial Practice; Energy and Natural Resources; International Finance; litigation and ADR. She has offered significant legal advice to international companies on their investment/setup in various sectors of the Ghanaian economy which include her involvement with debt and equity finance. She has comprehensively advised various local and international companies on compliance and regulatory requirements in the energy sector particularly in the Power and Petroleum (both upstream and downstream) sectors.


She worked for Ankamah & Associates and Ankamah Legal Consultancy as an Associate. Prior to her legal practice, she had over 15 years’ experience in Administrative and HR Management (HRM) in both the Private and Public sectors. Her experience includes working as an Administrative Manager in the Office of the President of the Republic of Ghana.


Maame holds a Professional Law Certificate from the Ghana School of Law to practice as a Solicitor and a Barrister; an LLB from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) Law School; an Msc International Finance from the University of Westminster, London, UK; and a Bsc Business Administration (HRM) from the Central University, Ghana, where she graduated with First Class and was awarded the overall best student of her year group.


Maame has passion for Home decoration and designing; something she loves to do at her leisure. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and a product of Benkum Secondary School.

B. Boatema Boateng

Barrister & Solicitor

Boatema is a founding partner of Ark Legal. Her areas of legal expertise include corporate and commercial practice, financial institutions and capital markets and dispute resolution. Most significantly, she has recently, been instrumental in the acquisition of a significant holding in a multinational telecommunication’s company by conducting a comprehensive legal due diligence audit. Further, she has a diplomatic yet effective approach in legal advisory and has advised several local and international firms on compliance and regulatory requirements, spanning from the initial strategic negotiations of transactions through to its completion and perfection.


Boatema worked for Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah, Lexkodoz Law and West African Fund. She is also the founder of Empower Ghana, a non-governmental organization, aimed at providing sustainable solutions for human development in Ghana. She combines her legal experience with her over 6 years’ management experience. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was involved in all core corporate operational functions. Most significantly, she delivered strong performance in earnings, cost reduction, process improvement and long-term business development.


Boatema holds a Professional Law Certificate from the Ghana School of Law; an LLB from the University of Ghana, Faculty of Law; and a BA in Psychology, from the University of Ghana. She is a member of the Ghana Bar Association and a product of Wesley Girls’ High School.
